Off-Campus Access

How to access our materials off-campus

Residents, no matter where you are based, you can use your SCO email credentials to access our resources! 

 

To access the databases:

1. Go to: https://www.sco.edu/library-resources.

2. Find the resource you would like to access (such as PubMed, which will link you to our online materials) and click the link.

3. At the login screen, there is a huge blue box that turns red when your cursor is over it. Click this box.

      a. If you are signed into your SCO email, the system might automatically log you in. 

4. The login screen you see is the same one you use to access your email or the SCO Iris page. Use your SCO email and password as you usually do.

      a. Resources like PubMed might not make you sign in until you click the Library's button on the right-hand side of the page. This button has the SCO logo beside the words "Find It @SCO Library"

5. If you do not have an "@sco.edu" email, underneath the blue box is another sign-in location that reads "SCO Affiliates without a SCO email should login here". This is where you use the Resident log-in you were given. If you cannot find this information, please email library@sco.edu for this information.

 

If you want to use the catalog:

1. Go to: https://www.sco.edu/catalog-search.

2. Click the word "Catalog".

3. In the upper right-hand corner of the website is a blue text that reads: "Sign in", click this text.

4. If your SCO login credentials have been saved in your cache, you may not be directed to the login page mentioned above. If you are shown the login page, simply follow the instructions above.
